Erdogan Holds Phone Call with Saudi Crown Prince

(MENAFN) Türkiye is "closely" monitoring the unfolding events in both Yemen and Somalia, stated President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday during a telephone conversation with the Saudi crown prince. He underscored the significance of maintaining stability and safeguarding the territorial unity of both nations.

In the discussion, Erdogan and Mohammed bin Salman addressed mutual ties as well as regional and international matters, according to the Turkish Communications Directorate.

Erdogan affirmed Türkiye’s willingness to assist in initiatives aimed at reconciling the factions in conflict within Yemen.

He further noted that Ankara intends to strengthen collaboration between Türkiye and Saudi Arabia by implementing additional measures in the coming days.

Highlighting that the humanitarian conditions in Gaza are deteriorating with the arrival of winter, Erdogan stressed that Türkiye remains committed to pursuing a permanent truce and supporting the rebuilding of the war-devastated territory.
