Turkey, Saudi Arabia Pledge Joint Efforts for Syrian Reconstruction
During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged views on a wide range of topics, including bilateral relations, regional and international developments, as well as cooperation in energy and defense, according to an official statement.
Erdogan also highlighted Ankara’s ongoing efforts toward Gaza’s reconstruction, stressing the need for stronger international action to bring an end to the humanitarian crisis there.
Discussions further covered the evolving situation in Yemen and recent developments across East Africa.
The Turkish president underlined his resolve to elevate relations between Türkiye and Saudi Arabia to a "higher level" through concrete steps across multiple sectors.
In a joint declaration, both sides welcomed the solid state of economic relations, noting the growing cooperation in trade and investment. They agreed on the importance of deepening these ties further, particularly in areas identified as priorities for both countries.
The statement also noted a shared intention to capitalize on opportunities presented by Saudi Vision 2030 and the Century of Türkiye vision, aiming to generate mutual economic gains.
The leaders praised current trade volumes and stressed the need to continue coordinated efforts to boost non-oil commerce. They also emphasized increasing reciprocal visits by officials and business representatives and organizing trade-related events in both countries through the Türkiye–Saudi Arabia Business Council.
