Erdogan Holds Phone Conversation with Saudi Crown Prince
According to a statement from the Turkish Communications Directorate on the social media platform NSosyal, Erdogan expressed concern that ongoing conflicts could have serious repercussions for both regional and global security if timely and effective interventions are not made.
Erdogan highlighted that Türkiye and Saudi Arabia are actively engaged in efforts to resolve disagreements through dialogue, emphasizing that diplomacy remains the most rational and constructive path forward. He also conveyed his good wishes to the Kingdom in the wake of recent attacks on Saudi territory.
The call comes in the aftermath of a joint US-Israeli military operation against Iran on Saturday, which killed several senior officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Tehran launched drone and missile strikes targeting US assets and several Gulf countries, further escalating tensions in the region.
The conversation reflects the continued diplomatic engagement of Türkiye and its regional partners to promote stability, prevent further escalation, and encourage dialogue amid a rapidly evolving security crisis.
